was £12.50 £11.37RIVESALTES GRENAT SUR GRAINS (2009) - BOURVS09
Domaine Boudau, Rivesaltes
Variety; Grenache
15.5% ABV
Appellation Rivesaltes Controllee
This is a red dessert wine... A great christmas wine as is perfect with all dried and stewed fruits. Is lighter in alcohol than port and not so heady. The sort of drink you may nurse whilst chasing the last bit of Montgomery cheddar round the plate. Also marries very well with chocolate desserts which, is rare for a pudding wine.

Domaine Boudau, Rivesaltes
Variety; Grenache
15.5% ABV

£15.45LA GRANGE AUX BELLES COTEAUX DE L'AUBANCE (2007) - GBAUBA07
Chenin Blanc
Variety; Chenin Blanc
13.5% ABV
Appellation Coteaux de 'Aubance Controllee
'Natural wine making'
A rich golden colour and full deep character to match. The Chenin Blanc here is big with spicy apples and a good fresh acidity to balance the sugar. There are elements of wood showing on the palate, but in this instance it fits quite nicely into the overall character.
A rich, intense tangy finish.
£16.18CUVEE NICOLAS (2008) 50CL - BARSTN08
Domaine Barroubio, Minervois
Variety; Muscat Petit Grain
15.5% ABV
Appellation St Jean de Minervois Controllee
Made with really old vines grown at an altitude of 300. This wine tastes of vanilla baked apples and apricots with a hint of ginger spice. Really viscous and mouth filling. It is almost a dessert in itself!

LAST FEW BOTTLES REMAINING
12% ABV
Appellation Coteaux du Layon Rablay Controllee
A bronze gold colour, it almost moves like syrup in the glass!
Unctuously rich and oily on the nose, but with apple spiced honey behind. On the palate the sweetness is astonishing (240g/l for those who want to know) but amazingly the tart apply acidity stands up to it.
This is really intense stuff!
